What is Frasier?
Frasier is an award-winning television series about Frasier Krane, a psychiatrist in Seattle popular for his radio talk show program designed to give advice to those in need of counseling. Bur Dr. Krane also has his share of trials and tribulations, especially when having to deal with Martin, his uncultured ex-cop father, his father's therapist Daphne Moon, a fussy younger brother named Niles (also a psychiatrist, but of lesser fame than Frasier, and feeling that blow quite keenly) with a wife named Maris who is never shown in the series, but is often referred to as unnaturally thin with the inability to salivate, his man-hungry producer Ross, and Eddie, the veritable man's best friend who never takes Frasier seriously. The fact that Frasier himself can be pompous and paranoid, does not help matters one bit.

"Frasier" was originally a spin-off from the popular television sitcom "Cheers" (Frasier Krane was also a character of this award-winning series before moving to have his own show after Cheers ended). "Frasier" stars Kelsey Grammer, David Hyde Pierce,

Frasier is also the first series (either comedy or drama) to earn five consecutive Emmy awards for oustanding comedy series, and a total of 31 Emmys all in all, including three Oustanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series awards (Kelsey Grammar, playing Frasier Krane), and two Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (David Hyde Pierce as Niles Krane). Aside from these, Frasier has also earned the George Foster Peabody Award; three People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Television Comedy, Favorite New Television Comedy Series and Best Actor (Grammer); a Humanitas Prize; Golden Globes for Best Musical or Comedy Series and Best Actor (Grammer), and the TV Guide Award as Favorite Comedy Series, to name a few.

Frasier was created by Peter Casey and David Lee, with Kelsey Grammer, Christopher Lloyd, Joe Keenan, Jeffrey Richman, Sam Johnson, Chris Marcil, Lori Kirkland Baker and Jon Sherman serving as executive producers.
